|  The Japanese willow, 
      her body shape, the flower all echo the zig-zag of the cloth's pattern - 
      just a coincidence. The willow branch was rescued from a sapling about to 
      go under a motorway and in the picture it is budding. It now stands in the 
      garden as a tree the height of the house and at evening is ripe with 
      sparrows on its intricate branches.
